The Double Cab's closed bodywork is mounted on a flexible steel ladder frame. The vehicle's fundamental competitive advantage is in the solid axles that assure durability, a long lifespan and minimal maintenance costs. The rear axle uses leaf springs to provide a higher payload, while the front axle provides driving comfort with coil spring suspension. The rear platform is separated from the body, which significantly increases off-road capabilities. The vehicle frame better adapts to driving conditions by torsion.

The vehicle's updated design and high quality manufacturing has brought essential changes: a reinforced frame, anti-vibration pads and a fully reinforced body. At the front is a new grille which corresponds with the vehicle's dynamic curves. The new UAZ 2363 Pickup AMC left the concept of two fuel tanks, therefore the new model has only one. A connectable 4x4 drive and an additional 2-speed low range gearbox come in standard, and they're both operated from the interior with the use of dials or manually by a lever.
